I grew up in New York and did my undergraduate work at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Oh, were I received a B.S. in Mathematics and a B.A. in Philosophy, Politics, and the Public. I spent my junior year studying at the University of St. Andrews in St. Andrews, Scotland. I received a Masters in Mathematics, a Masters in Computer Science, and my PhD. in Computational Mathematics from Emory University.
When I am not working on mathematics, I live in South Lake Tahoe with my husband. You can often find me rock climbing, hiking, doing yoga, swing dancing, scuba diving, knitting, and traveling as much as possible.
